After being unable to locate any gasoline to buy for almost a week, the gasoline flow has finally caught up to Nashville Tennessee. The price is also starting to drop after being above $4.00 a gallon for several weeks it has now dropped down to around $3.50 a gallon. Who would of thought that we would celebrate gasoline at $3.50 a gallon? All around us have had gasoline when we were in a terrible shortage and now the price in Birmingham Alabama is under $3.00 a gallon, we can only hope that the price here will drop to something close to that very soon.

I check a web site everyday that gives the prices of all the stations around the city of Nashville, and man was I shocked to see one close to me with their price at $2.79 a gallon over a dollar less than the rest of the gasoline stations in the area. I grabbed a couple of dogs and headed out the door to see if it was true. Of course when I got there it was $3.79 a gallon. We went back home disappointed and dismayed, I was ready to fill up on cheap gas but no can do. I can hold out till it goes down a few more cents a gallon.

Man I do love the summers in Nashville Tennessee, the weather is just right not to hot just a touch of humidity and enough rain most years to keep everything green and growing. I had enough of the dry heat in Arizona, when it hits over 110 degrees it is hot I do not care if it is dry or not, it got where I just could not even breath when it was that hot anymore and I had to move. I think I made a pretty dam good choice in moving to Nashville. I really love it here.

This labor day unlike many before I will be doing nothing, I have no plans what so ever. My biggest desire today is to lie on the couch and watch my dogs. Not even do I have plans to turn the TV on, I want it quiet and no guests me and the dogs is good enough for me. I have to work tonight so at some point I will need a nap but I do not want my nap to disturb my lying on the couch resting, if I wake up enough I will head to the bed for a nap. No good nap was ever taken on a couch with 5 dogs we need as much room as we can get to really enjoy a nap right.

In the last year we have had us a serial killer in this area, they caught him at a local truck stop, he was a truck drive who was killing girls at the local truck stops. He was killing all along his route at last count he was charged with 5-6 murders in 4 states, including 2 here in the Nashville area. Bruce Mendenhall is his name and they are calling him the I-65 killer as he killed several girls all along I-65 from Alabama to Indiana. Our world has gotten a lot smaller thanks to the automobile and I am not sure this is a good thing. I seem to think the world would be a lot better place if we were a bit restricted in where we could go and what we could do. The public would be a lot safer from idiots like this I-65 killer and many more like him in this world.
