A road less traveled is a mighty strange road indeed. I am talking about doing things you have either never done or it has been a very long time since you have been there. I went back to Oklahoma for a funeral last week and it was almost like I had not been gone for most of twenty years. Everything was about like it was like when i left, and that is not a good thing as it was in might bad disrepair when I left. In no way shape or form would I like to move back to rural Oklahoma I might be talked into moving to Oklahoma City but that is about it. I am not a plow boy and do not want to become one again. NO WAY NO HOW!

As summer gets hotter and hotter it takes so much more energy to do even simple chores. The simple task of walking my dogs whom I love takes all my energy and some times has to wait until it cools off a bit before we can attack the world. Sitting on the couch watching a ball game took a super human effort last night as soon as the last out was made it was straight to bed for this tired old man. Good thing I am on vacation this week.

My vacation finally starts tomorrow, I have worked almost two years between vacations. I have no idea what we are going to do but I know that sleep for at least one of the days is on my list, working nights you can never get enough sleep and living on naps is not a lot of fun. I know we will take a couple of day trips I do not know about anything longer. Having five dogs makes it a bit tough to go very far, we can take one or maybe two but not all five that would be a mess, in more ways than one.

I have seen a couple of the new retro cars that are being produced and I want one of the retro Ford Mustangs for sure. They look so very sleek and fast. Keith Urban was seen here in Nashville driving one of them, they cost a pretty penny and when and if the price gets more in my ball park I am going to get me one of the Ford Mustangs. The other two that I have seen are very nice too. The Chevy Camaro and they have produced a Dodge Charger that looks fantastic. Good job auto makers putting cars we like back in production.

I was very pleased to see that the new Harley Davidson Museum will be opening soon, although I do not have a trip that direction planned this year, I may make a change of direction one weekend this summer. It is about an 9 hour ride to get to Milwaukee from Nashville and that is a nice ride for a 3 day weekend. I really like looking at older style bikes, the new ones no matter who makes them have little or no class when compared to an old Harley.
