On my first weekend with out having to work I was given a list of “chores” to do and I see no way I can finish this list before I turn 65 and get ready to retire. It is a shame to miss all this good golf and fishing weather with a damn list of stuff to do. I think I will wait one week to start this honey do list and get in some golf before she finds out I am gone and then maybe I can go fishing later on when it cools off a bit. Maybe a nap befre then will help my mind work better, ya a nap is on the agenda.

UPDATE: There was no nap and no golf and no fishing, she found me.

Man I do love the summers in Nashville Tennessee, the weather is just right not to hot just a touch of humidity and enough rain most years to keep everything green and growing. I had enough of the dry heat in Arizona, when it hits over 110 degrees it is hot I do not care if it is dry or not, it got where I just could not even breath when it was that hot anymore and I had to move. I think I made a pretty dam good choice in moving to Nashville. I really love it here.

This has been a very slow start to the hurricane season, the so called experts have said this is going to be a very busy hurricane season but the first month and a half have went by with only one or two hurricanes. This just shows me that no one can predict what Mother Nature is going to do and for sure no one has any control over nature. I hope this hurricane season passes with so few it is called the lightest hurricane season ever.

My tiny garden is going gang busters I have a lot of tomatoes and jalapenos and my green peppers are blooming. I do not have a lot of room so I grow a few plants in some large pots. I can not feed the world but I can have some fresh veggies once in a while. I do wish I had more room to add some other vegetables but that will come with time and more money. I remember as a child we had a huge garden and many summer evenings were spent pulling weeds and watering, it was fun.
